The five stages of landscaping
From bare soil to a mown lawn: this is how we build a new green area.
- 1 Preparing the ground Clearing unwanted growth, pruning, topsoil and shaping the ground.
- 2 Lawns Levelling, sowing grass mixes, watering, feeding and care of the young grass.
- 3 Trees, shrubs and hedges Digging the holes, delivery and planting, staking the young trees.
-
4 Flowers Annual, biennial and perennial flowers.
- 5 Upkeep Mowing, rolling, watering, feeding, weeding, digging over, scarifying and plant protection.
